The Fordham Institute for Women and Girls and IHAN (International Health Awareness Network) are co-sponsoring a conference celebrating four major UN anniversaires.
Specifically the 4 anniversaries that occur this year are:
Presentations will focus on what has been achieved and what still needs to be accomplished, particularly in Sustainable Development Goals.
The format will be one or two presentations in each category followed by questions and discussion.
Fordham students are invited to submit papers for prizes and CEU's are available to social workers who request them.

The United Nations was founded in the aftermath of the world wars by a rich international community of extant political institutions, non governmental organizations, and a diverse body of scholars and human service professionals who were determined that our world should “never again” fail to uphold the basic moral, ethical and social obligations which now compose international human rights law.
This conference will highlight landmark legislative achievements in the domains of gender equity, migration and peacebuilding, while reviewing the international community’s progress towards meeting the human rights objectives mandated by the following international frameworks.
