Instrumental Music Program
Expectations of Participants
Attendance each week at lessons and scheduled ensemble rehearsals.
Students are expected to check their lesson times through Compass (and scheduled ensemble rehearsals) and attend each week. Students who are consistently absent from time-tabled lessons and rehearsals without reason may be omitted from the program.
Students are expected to participate in an ensemble.
Regular practice at home and care for all school and hired equipment.
Students are expected to practise regularly at home. Our teachers will help students to create a practice routine and will demonstrate how to care for and maintain all music equipment.
Participation in performances.
There is an expectation that students attend music performances, whether as solo performers or as part of an ensemble.
Performance is seen as the goal of every lesson and rehearsal.
