Total Care Nursing is proudly owned and operated by nurses local to Thunder Bay. Founded in 2015 by Registered Nurse Sacha Torkkeli, what began as “FootNurse”—a specialized foot care service—has grown into a full-spectrum nursing provider, dedicated to bridging the unique gaps in health care across Northwestern Ontario.

As a nurse-led organization, our values are rooted in clinical excellence, community connection, and genuine compassion. We understand the unique healthcare needs of this region because we live here, work here, and care deeply about the people who call it home.

At Total Care Nursing, we believe that high-quality care should be accessible, respectful, and tailored to each individual. Our multidisciplinary team includes Registered Nurses (RNs), Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs), NSWOCs (Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence), and SWANs (Skin Wellness Associate Nurses)—all committed to delivering evidence-informed, holistic care that makes clients feel comfortable, supported, and empowered.

Whether we're providing advanced wound care, compression therapy, chronic disease management, or foot care, our goal is always the same: to improve health outcomes and enhance quality of life for every client we serve.

We offer services in private homes, assisted living facilities, and at our centrally located Thunder Bay clinic—ensuring flexible, dependable care when and where it’s needed most.

As an Authorized ADP Vendor, we also supply lymphedema garments, pneumatic compression pumps, and other essential health supports, making Total Care Nursing a trusted resource for comprehensive and compassionate care across the region.
