President Ho Chi Minh set three ideologies for the country “fighting against poverty, illiteracy, and invaders”
Started over the whole education system:

➡ Pay more attention to young citizens, who were the future generation
➡ Method: President Ho Chi Minh had encouraged people to know how to read and write teach for their neighbors, their friends, their children, their parents, anyone around them
RESULT: From 5% of literate to 2.5 million people know how to read and write
After Vietnam War (1955-1975)
Many damages were caused by the bombing during the war such as many buildings, farms, lands, and especially schools were destroyed disastrous.
➡ Millions of Vietnamese to go through famine, became refugees, the illiterate percentage increased dramatically.
Solution: To rebuild unify socialist school system, the government allowed the teachers from the North to take control and lead the education system of the public and private schools in the South.
The Doi Moi Reform (1986):
It is a huge impact on the revolution of national education and also on the economy of the country.
More schools were opened.
However, due to the politics and laws that were created by the newly independent government which lacked controlling experience, the education program and system are still backward compared to other countries.
Conclusion:
Pro: Many people from a rich family in Vietnam were allowed to study abroad in France and exchanged cultures, introduced Vietnam to other foreign nations.
Con: Since Vietnam was being controlled by China and France, this created lots of conflicts in the curriculum such as languages, exams, school systems, etc.
