Chanel 13 News, the news leader for Indianapolis and Central Indiana reported a serious case to spread awareness. The caption of the report stated "Indiana now has new proposed steps to help protect people who are disabled from abuse and neglect in group homes across the state.  If interested in learning about the stories of people who have suffered from such incidents of neglect, click this video. It gives insight on the tragic neglect experienced by 22-year-old Joshua, a man who lived most of his life in residential homes with caregivers having little to no training, poor background checks, and minimal pay. Many cases like these end worse than his, or go unheard due to lack of empathy or awareness about these situations.
