As bookkeepers, in the accounting world, we are always behind on work. We are always playing catch-up with our clients. They pay bills and purchase things for their business. They run their business and bring in money. The downfall, most of the time the money doesn't reflect in their financials until a day or two later, maybe longer with weekends involved. That is when our work kicks in. We play catch-up to and make sure all the transactions get code appropriately.
Now I said all that to say this. With tax time coming up in just a blink of an eye, I am over here putting in extra work to make sure my clients are as close to caught up as possible.... working late hours and weekends. Today, Wednesday seems fitting for Wednesday, to have on in the background while working.

The job never ends, and I wouldn't have it any other way!💪
A little honesty: I woke up not feeling 100% today. But after a slow start, I put my feet on the ground, fired up the home office, and got to work.💻
Transactions after transactions, payrolls ran, charts of accounts set up—all the things getting done, because I always show up for my clients. I even took a quick break to make a delicious meal (and ate it while getting back to the keyboard, I admit 😉 ).
Here’s the reminder we all need: You can’t pour from an empty cup. You can't take care of your people if you don't take care of yourself.

The home office is really coming together! It's been a work in progress to get it to feel just right for work and I am there. Now once it warms up a bit, I can get these floors finished and get me a nice throw rug for the area.
Big thanks to my sister for starting me on my plant journey, I blame you for the obsession. And thank you to my great friend for the room divider. It definitely helps make it more of a private space.
And yes, I am that nerd that has two computer setups.... Just mind ya business
