Parents will leave this session with a better understanding of how trauma can affect a child's emotions, behavior, learning, and relationships. They will learn practical, trauma-informed strategies that can be immediately implemented at home, including:

Respond with curiosity rather than punishment by asking, "What might my child be experiencing?" instead of focusing solely on the behavior.

Create emotional safety through connection and consistency by establishing predictable routines, validating feelings, and maintaining calm communication during challenging moments.

Build resilience through everyday interactions by helping children identify emotions, teaching healthy coping skills, and strengthening supportive parent-child relationships.
