The daughter of an Army officer, I had the privilege of growing up all over the world. I attended Clemson for college and, after graduating, decided to make South Carolina my home. Previously an English teacher for 15 years, I recently joined the CTE world by starting the Intro to Teaching program at CRHS. My goal is to inspire students to become the next generation of teachers. For those who don't want to teach, my goal is to inspire the next generation of public education advocates. My favorite part about teaching is building relationships with students. It's my most sincere hope that my students walk into my classroom each day knowing that it's a safe space for them to learn and take risks.
Classes Taught: Child Development, Intro to Teaching 1, Intro to Teaching 2, Teacher Cadet

I graduated from Lee University with a degree in Special Education and additional endorsements in Elementary Education and Early Childhood. I got my Masters Degree from Columbia College. I started teaching at Gold Hill Elementary School in 2001 and taught a kindergarten for eighteen years. In 2019, I came to Catawba Ridge High School to teach the 4-year-old lab school. It is the best job ever! My favorite part of teaching four year olds is watching their excitement every day. They love to learn and are easy to engage. Working with the high school students is another perk to my job. They love my Little Copperheads and are fun to teach as well!
I am originally from Savannah, Georgia. I am married to Jake and have two children, Nathan and Ella. Nathan graduated from NAFO and is pursuing a career as an electrician. Ella is currently a Junior at CRHS and loves working with the four year olds too. When I’m not teaching, I love reading and spending time with my family and our dog Georgia.
Classes Taught: 4K
