Mrs. Melissa Beauchamp (pronounced Bee-cham) is originally from New Mexico and has been happily married to the love of her life for 24 years. Together, they are raising three amazing young men. She earned her BA in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and taught English in Charlotte, NC. After staying home with her first son, she returned to school and earned her AD in Nursing from Carolinas College of Health Sciences. She has since specialized in caring for neurosurgical patients, as well as providing home health and hospice care.
Mrs. Beauchamp loves being able to help grow our next generation of healthcare workers here at The Ridge. She teaches all of our Health Science courses including Health Science 1: Foundations of Healthcare Professions (5550) -CP, Healthcare Science 2: Essential Healthcare Practices (5551) -CP, and Healthcare Science: Human Structure, Function, and Disease -Honors (5552). She also supports FMSD’s Health Science students as an adjunct faculty member at York Technical College, teaching both Dual Enrollment CNA courses—AHS 117: The Care of Patients and AHS 120: Responding to Emergencies—right here at CRHS!
When she’s not teaching, Mrs. Beauchamp enjoys relaxing on their back porch, soaking up their little piece of heaven with her beloved family and their two dogs. She also loves reading, gardening, and cheering on her husband and sons during their extracurricular activities.
