I have been a graphic designer for more than 30 years. I started my career in publishing, and then moved into corporate communications, which is how I wound up in the Charlotte area, where I worked for an insurance company and then was the Creative Director at a local magazine. I freelanced from home while I raised my two boys, both of whom attended Nation Ford High, and I've been teaching digital art at Nation Ford since 2020. I am so grateful to be able to combine my passion for visual communications with my love of education.
Classes Taught: Digital Art and Design Levels 1-4, Dual Credit DAAD

Aloha! I’m Ms. Tiana Scott, and I’ve been an educator since 2012, starting in preschool and fine arts before finding my passion in digital art and design. I’m a proud graduate of The School of Visual Arts, where I specialized in traditional animation. From there, I jumped into the animation and gaming world, working with amazing companies like Warner Bros., The Jim Henson Company, and Cartoon Network.
While I still freelance in animation, scriptwriting, and social media management, my favorite role is teaching. Staying active in the industry helps me bring the latest tech and trends straight to the classroom. What I love most about teaching is the chance to inspire students to see the world through a design lens—because design truly is everywhere!
When I’m not teaching or working, you’ll find me gaming with friends and family, diving into a great book, exploring the outdoors, or snuggling with my dog.
Classes Taught: Digital Art & Design Level 1, 2
