I am fairly new to the Nation Ford family. I started teaching Food and Nutrition in 2023. I moved to the Carolinas from Pennsylvania in 2006 for college. I have a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Winthrop University as well as a degree in Culinary Arts Management from The Art Institute. I spent just over a decade as a sous chef at multiple restaurants, including Flipside Restaurant in Rock Hill, before finding my place at NAFO. I am grateful to be able to combine my love for being in the kitchen with my passion for teaching. I am slowly trying to get more involved on campus but spend most of my time outside of school with my daughters, 5, 3, and an infant.
