8th Grade Job Shadow Day

Job Shadow Day is Tuesday, November 25, 2025

Students have three options for this date.

1.  Students are encouraged to spend the day with someone who has a job that interests them.  Students who arrange individual job shadow experiences have an excused absence on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 (pending the appropriate paperwork). 

2. Sign up for a pre-arranged Job Shadow opportunity. Spaces for these are very limited and you should sign up ASAP. Parents provide transportation and must stay at the location.

3.  Shadow a military officer at Catawba Ridge High School JROTC. This is a great choice if you are interested in a career in the military and/or the leadership and character development offered in the JROTC program. Students who choose this option come to school as usual on Nov 25 and take a bus to CRHS. (All 8th graders who come to school on Nov 25 will go on the trip to Catawba Ridge High School.) 

Students must complete the online form at https://forms.gle/Bqw6QWnBHaSfpira9 by Friday, November 14th in order to participate in Job Shadow Day on November 25th

After the Job Shadow is completed on November 25th,2025 the students must complete the Job Shadow Reflection at https://forms.gle/fJeqq37N9murrgjB8  by Friday, December 5th.  This will ensure the student receives an excused absence.
