Evidence-based interventions connecting Family Medicine Residency progams across the Northeast US to scale and spread innovations in teaching and patient care
The Family Medicine Education Consortium mission is to improve the health of the nation by strengthening family medicine and primary care to meet its full potential. The FMEC is a non-profit organization incorporated in Ohio in 1994 and works with academic family medicine programs in 14 states and the District of Columbia.
Family physicians have been drawn to participate in FMEC activity because they see the potential of family medicine and believe it can be a transformative force in U.S. healthcare. Our long history of bringing motivated healthcare providers together to form communities and collaboratives, combined with our committed leadership and reach to over 200 academic medical centers, makes us uniquely suited to develop and execute residency learning networks.
