Option 1: Trending Together

Connect with a partner to complete the collaboration. Select one of the following products for a mock social media post:

• GravityDefy Sneakers: High-tech sneakers with anti-gravity technology for enhanced jumps and sprints.

• ChromaShade Sunglasses: Stylish sunglasses with mood-changing lenses. Express your mood through vibrant shades while protecting your eyes from the sun.

• SonicSculpt Headphones: Cutting-edge headphones feature advanced "sonic sculpting" technology, allowing you to customize your listening experience by adjusting sound to your brainwaves.

1. Create a short mock social media post promoting your selected product. The post should include text (150-300 characters, not words), a hashtag, and a static image (emojis are optional).

2. Compare your post with that of your collaboration partner. Identify elements from each of your posts that complement each other or provide a unique perspective on the product.

3. Collaborate to combine your two mock social media product posts into one post. This could include combining effective captions, selecting the most impactful image, or integrating well-chosen hashtags and emojis.

4. Revise and edit for correctness, clarity, and cohesion.

5. Publish your findings in a digital presentation. Your presentation should include:

   • Your mock product promotion post.

   • Your collaboration partner's mock product promotion post.

   • Your combined clear, correct, and cohesive mock product promotion post.

   • Your reflection responses.

Answer the following reflection questions about the collaboration:

1. What insights did you gain from comparing and contrasting your approach to the mock post with your peer's mock post?

2. How do you believe the collaborative process of combining your and your partner's approaches strengthened the final social media post?

3. What did you enjoy most about working with others on this task? Explain why.

Option 2:Viral Vocations

Connect with a partner to complete the collaboration.

1. Select a social media profession you would be interested in as a potential career. You may choose an influencer, copywriter, social media strategist, digital marketing manager, graphic designer, video editor, or another profession in the social media stratosphere you find interesting.

2. Research the profession to learn more and determine the skills someone in that profession would need to get the job.

3. Compare your insights with those of your collaboration partner. Discuss why you selected that particular profession and what traits you possess that would make you well-suited for it.

4. Publish your findings in a digital presentation. Your presentation should include:

   • A 1-2 sentence summary of both your and your collaboration partner's selected social media professions.

   • A 1-2 sentence summary of why you and your partner selected your specific jobs.

   • A 1-2 sentence summary of the skills someone might have in you and your partner's selected professions.

   • Your reflection responses.

Each partner will answer the following questions about the collaboration:

1. How did the process of collaborating and comparing/contrasting your desired social media professions and the required skills enhance your understanding of the diverse skill set needed in the social media industry?

2. What advice would you give to someone else to help them locate a job in the social media field?

3. What did you enjoy most about working with others on this task? Explain why.
