I have a question about how to complete an assignment, who do I reach out to?
Once you have reviewed the lesson, if you are having trouble with an assignment, the first step is to check the tips and videos on the Google Doc course worksheets located on the help site or your teacher's homepage.
You may also reach out to your teacher anytime Monday - Friday 8am - 8pm. Please allow up to 24 hours for a response.Â
You can also check the live lesson calendar at the bottom of your teacher's homepage to see if there is a lesson coming up about the assignment you need help with.Â
I cannot type on the worksheets, what should I do?
If you cannot type on the worksheets provided in the lessons, we recommend using the Google Doc worksheets on your teachers's homepage and on the help site. Make sure you read the directions for how to type on a Google Doc located on the top of the worksheets.Â
DO NOT REQUEST EDIT ACCESS.Â
You may also type your responses directly into the student comment box located in the "assessment" tab for the assignment.Â
I do not have Microsoft Word on my computer, am I still able to submit assignments?
Microsoft Word is free for all students, however, it is optional to complete the course. Follow these steps to access your free Microsoft Word account:
In place of the Microsoft Word worksheets in the lessons, we recommend using the Google Doc versions of the worksheets we have provided. These are located on your teacher's homepage and on the help site.Â
I cannot log into my zoom account, how can I fix this?
Make sure you are using the correct email and password, located on the top right of your teacher's homepage. If you are still unable to log in, contact tech support at 1-800-374-1430 (prompt #2).
I am locked out of my account, forgot my username, or forgot my password, who do I ask to unlock it?
If you are locked out of your account, your teacher can reset your password and tell you your username. Call, text, or email your teacher Monday-Friday 8 am - 8 pm. Keep in mind responses may take up to 24 hours. You can also call tech support at 1-800-374-1430 (prompt 2).
I am going to be unable to submit work for an extended period, do I need to notify my teacher?
Yes! Please notify your teacher of any extended periods of absence due to illness, vacation, or technical issues. A quick text or email is a great way to communicate!
When will my work be graded?
The FLVS grading policy allows 24-48 hours Monday- Friday from the time of submission for grading to occur.Â
Do I need to pass all of my assignments?
No, you do not need to pass every assignment. To pass the course, you must receive a grade of 60% or higher, this includes your final exam.
When can I work in my classes and when are my assignments due?
You can work in your FLVS courses 24 hours a day. Your teachers are available Monday - Friday 8am - 8pm. There are no set due dates for any of the assignments, you are responsible for managing your schedule. You must submit work each week to stay active in the course.Â
Can I re-do an assignment for a better grade?
Yes! You can re-do any assignment up to three times for a chance at a better score. To reset an assignment, go to your grade book, review the instructor's comments, make any changes or improvements you wish, and resubmit the assignment.Â
