Collaboration

What is a Collaboration?

A collaboration is an assignment that you complete with other students in the class. You can complete this at anytime if you choose to complete it, but it must be done before you can take your segment exam to receive credit. You only need to complete one collaboration per segment.

How do I complete the collaboration?

There is an optional, but very beneficial live lesson collaboration assignment you can choose to complete in each segment of English 1. If you choose to complete this assignment, you will not only get help with a specific concept or lesson, but you will also receive directions for how to submit the collaboration assignment (hint-- it will benefit your grade). You may attend ANY of the live lessons to complete your collaboration. Only 1 live lesson must be attended to complete the collaboration assessment, however, you are more than welcome to attend more if you wish.

If you decide not to complete the collaboration, no problem! Just request to have the collaboration assignment exempted (it will not hurt your grade by exempting this assignment).

Please note that we do offer help sessions for students to jump in and receive one-on-one from an English 1 teacher during the week, but this is for tutoring, rather than to receive collaboration credit. Please view the live lesson calendar below for all our live lesson options each week.

Where do I go to complete the collaboration?

On your English 1 Announcement Page, you will see the live lesson calendar. Live Lessons are offered at certain times each week. On your announcement page, you can click on the calendar at the designated time to attend the live lesson, or click here.

If you are attending a live lesson by phone or tablet, click on these directions to help you.
