Hi Team Connections! When I graduated from High School, I already knew which path to go...TEACHING, TEACHING, and TEACHING! It is my passion and my first love! I am so excited and I'm looking forward to be learning with all of you!

I am a math teacher for the 9th and 10th grade connection team. I graduated from FIHS and went to Stony Brook University to obtain my B.S. in math Education. I received my M.S. in pure mathematics from Queens college. I am also a member of Golden Key International Honor Society. Before I joined back FIHS as an educator, I taught 8th grade math in the Bronx. I love teaching at FIHS because I can share my immigration story to support my students both academically and emotionally. During my leisure time, I like to play the piano, cook, and play with my lovely two puppies.

I am an English teacher for the 9th and 10th grade team! I graduated from SUNY Binghamton with a B.A. in History and Spanish Language & Literature. I spent some time studying in Peru which influenced my decision to become a teacher. In 2019, I graduated from Columbia University with my Master’s degree in TESOL (K-12). My favorite things to do outside of teaching are: cooking & exercising. It is important that all students bring their experiences into the classroom so that we can learn from one another. I hope to inspire my students to become curious, innovative learners. An innovative learner uses their individuality and creativity to produce real and meaningful change in the world.

As an educator, I aim to provide each student with a wide variety of physical activities and challenges that will contribute to the development of each learners physical, cognitive , and affective well being. The goal is create a positive , active, and supportive atmosphere where all students can grow. Students learn to take control of their fitness levels and become informed consumers. The goal is to maintain healthy habits for a lifetime!
