Days of Grace ⛅
Days of Grace are highly anticipated days on which students can turn in any missing assignment for FULL CREDIT. This is an opportunity for students to make up zeros without a penalty, but there are some rules…
Days of Grace are always announced ahead of time and will occur twice each 9 weeks. It will end at 11:59 PM on that same day. This gives your student plenty of time to get whatever it is turned in. I do not accept late work at any other time (they can always place their work in the correct class basket in the classroom if they are afraid they’ll lose it).
An Assignment List for each Day of Grace will be posted on the Google Classroom and in the room for students to check prior to the day. Group Projects cannot be reproduced, so an alternate assignment will be given for those.
Stipulations as follows:
1. The assignments eligible are ONLY those that have not been turned in previously. I will not be regrading anything that has already been submitted.
2. Physical assignments will need to be turned in during the school day to the correct basket in my classroom (students are familiar). If I’m not here, they may be slid under my door. The cut off for paper assignments will be 4:00 pm.
3. Electronic assignments need to be turned in within the window AND have a private comment on them (“day of grace” is encouraged). If there is no comment, I have no way of knowing that the assignment was submitted. I will check the timestamp on the assignment.
4. There are no extenuating circumstances that will extend Day of Grace, and there are no exceptions that will be made.
5. Any assignment on the list I put on Google Classroom that has not been previously turned in is eligible. Daily grades and test grades alike! (Test grades and projects should be top priority.)
6. I will not be accepting ANY late assignments after this date, so please encourage your student to plan accordingly! This is the last call for late work of any kind!
