GNTC Foundation High School Graduate Scholarship: $500 scholarship for a student who plans to attend GNTC in Fall 2021. Sam and Mae Byrd & Jake Puryear Detachment Scholarship: $1000 scholarship for students with a parent, grandparent, uncle or aunt - by blood or marriage - who are a current or former US Marine, FMF Corpsman, or FMF Chaplain. Rome Rotary Scholarship 2020-21 - $500 scholarship for students in Rome and Floyd County only; six scholarships will be awarded; must be eligible for Free or Reduced Lunch; requires cumulative GPA of 3.5 (though possible exceptions made for 3.2-3.49); application available in the Counselors’ Offices. Deadline: March 31, 2021
BBB Student of Integrity Scholarship 2021 - $1000 scholarships awarded by the Better Business Bureau. We have a Big Week for CHS this week, and I wanted to share some of it with you.
Softball-- at Chattooga today for two games, at home Wednesday, The Lady Eagles are in the hunt for a playoff spot this Fall. Go Lady Eagles!
Volleyball--Senior Night Tuesday at CHS. Start Time 5:00. The Lady Eagles have secured the #4 seed going into the Area Tournament.
Cross Country--Both Teams will be in action on Tuesday at Rockmart. Our times continue to improve with the Girls' school record being broken twice this year. We currently boast the best Individual girls time in Class AA.
Football-- The Eagles are back home for their last Non-Region game vs Lakeview Academy before their Region 7AA schedule begins next week. (Homecoming-see attached). Please review the Stadium Guidelines attached to keep all players, coaches and fans safe. Events include:

Halftime-- The Homecoming Festivities
Post Game--Fireworks
Letter Jackets--Balfour will be at CHS on Wednesday before school to measure for jackets again. They will set up in the New Gym.

If UGA is in your priority list, the Early Action Application Deadline is October 15. A Counselor Recommendation is required for UGA so PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP if you plan to apply by the Early Action Deadline.
