(A Story of Units)
We will be using Eureka Math as our main math curriculum. This curriculum has fluency, problem sets, and exit tickets that we will be using.
Missing / Make-Up Work: All work is expected to be completed! Most exit tickets can be made up in class the next day. If it is not completed in a timely manner, then students may miss an activity in order to complete the work, otherwise it will be a zero.
Weekly Homework:
Students are responsible for picking up their weekly homework challenge page on MONDAY.
Homework is differentiated to students' needs. Your child's Beacon score will determine which level they receive. I always give students one level higher than where they currently are at. This is to help push them to meet their new goals and have a deeper understanding of the content.
Homework will be due by Friday. Students will earn Dragon Dollars or Dojo Points for completed and on time work.
I DO NOT grade weekly homework! HW is just for responsibility building and how they can earn some extra Dragon Dollars for PBIS celebrations.
Unit Projects:
Students will have an OPTIONAL project assignment for each unit to help boost their grade. *The unit project will be worth 10 points on a previous test!!! No late projects will be accepted (excluding a doctors note due to illness or an approved absence due to extenuating circumstances).
