Thank goodness for Lola (my 1970's Kabota tractor) I couldn't do this without her! She is one of the markers from the Floret Workshop that let me think it was possible to start this adventure. There was a list of needed equipment and I was able to check off most of the items, one of the biggest investments being a tractor. Lola the Kabota is old but she is a work horse! My quarter of an acre farm is starting to take shape because of her!
There were other investments that needed to be made, waterlines, fabric, seeds! But over time I knew I could add those items and get started. My first season of growing flowers I chose zinnias and sunflowers, both easy growers and beautiful. They speak of sunshine and happiness. It was a joy to have those first flowers bloom and give bouquets to friends and family.
Watch as the flowers start to poke out of the soil and into these magnificent beauties.
Lola needs tended occasionally and my nephew Andrew helps me keep her running and able to work.
