Guitar and Ukulele

The Beginning Guitar and Ukulele class was a new addition as of the 2022/2023 school year. Starting in the 2023/2024 school year, students can take Beginning Guitar and Ukulele and Intermediate Guitar and Ukulele. These classes are structured to allow the student to learn at their own pace, work on music they enjoy, create their own music and prepare them for the possibility of joining the Rock Band class or joining/starting a band of their own.  

Students in Guitar and Ukulele classes attend a Jam Session trip where they get to 'jam' with local musicians, ask them questions about performing or about their instruments and listen to others perform.  Students in the Guitar and Ukulele classes also help with and have the opportunity to perform at the FHS Music Department Open Mic and Talent Show.
