Nina Anderson was born and raised in Fort Lee, NJ. She attended the Fort Lee public schools, was a graduate of Fort Lee High School, and is a member of the FLHS Hall of Fame. She'll been an art teacher at the Lewis F. Cole Middle School since 1997 and loves what she does. She currently lives in northern Bergen County with her husband, 2 children, and her dog, Steely.
She enjoy all types of arts and crafts (shocker!) and is constantly changing the medium she works in. Painting, drawing, and cooking are all hobbies of hers, as well as baking and cake decorating! She even has a party business where she designs all types of custom confections! She also enjoys presenting at teachers' conventions on the importance of peer leaders at the middle school level.
Mrs. A supervised and coached the Jr. Bridgemen cheerleading program in the late 1980's and early 1990's, and then coached cheerleading at Fort Lee high school from 1987-2012. During that time, Fort Lee High School earned several team State and National Championships and Mrs. Anderson was named UCA National Coach of the Year in 2002. In addition to coaching cheerleading, she has advised several clubs at the Lewis F. Cole Middle School. Earlier in her career, she was the adviser for Student Council and Bias Busters, and she currently advises the Student Ambassadors Group, Intermedia Art Club, and the Faculty Sunshine Club. She enjoys being a part of our school's Safety Team as well.
Priscilla Yoon grew up in Montvale, NJ and moved to Fort Lee when she was in high school. She is a proud alumni of FLHS and attended Rutgers University for her undergrad and Rutgers Graduate School of Education for her graduate degree. This will be her 8th year at LFCMS, and certainly one of the most memorable years yet! She has a deep passion for learning and believes that she is a learner first. One of the ways that she remains teachable is by reading.
You can find her outdoors any time the sun is out--she LOVES being in the sun and would move to sunny San Diego if she could. In the winter, you can find her snowboarding at Mountain Creek. She also has a million different favorite foods--sushi, tacos, fried chicken, ice cream, donuts, brownies, cookies, bubble tea, Korean food, and more. Actually... she likes just about anything and everything! Ha! (Ask Mrs. Anderson, she knows).
Ms. Yoon believes that it is important to step outside of your comfort zone and try new things. That's why she is so excited to have you join Intermedia! She will always try her best to make things interesting and keep you on your toes. She loves spending time with her students and can't wait to see what will unfold this year.
Shannon Cevasco grew up in Fort Lee, NJ with a view of the George Washington Bridge from her bedroom window and has since settled with her family in Morris County NJ. Mrs. Cevasco went to Sacred Heart University and studied graphic design. She was an art director for a magazine in New York City before going back to school in 2004 for an education degree from New Jersey City University. She has been teaching at the Lewis F. Cole Middle School since 2007. She believes that teaching requires hard work and dedication. Most importantly, teachers need to be compassionate and empathetic to their students, since the impression you leave upon them will last a lifetime.
In her spare time, Mrs. Cevasco loves to travel and spend time with her family. Her favorite places to travel are Cape Cod and the Gulf of Mexico, but she would move to be neighbors with Ms. Yoon in San Diego, too! She also loves all different types of music and art, especially Bob Marley and Vincent Van Gogh. She also loves to read and hopes to write her own book one day. To Kill A Mockingbird and Lord of the Flies are her favorite books.
This is Mrs. Cevasco's second year working on Intermedia and she is astounded at how creative her students can be! It its a pleasure and an honor to bring their creations to life.
