In April, we host an Annual Career & College Readiness Fair. This event is geared towards our Junior and Senior students. It is an opportunity for the students to meet with local colleges & universities, workforce representatives, and other community based resources.
For our Junior students, this is a great to time to explore any interest they may have in post-secondary education. We have a wide variety of educational institutions and training programs present at this event. Students are able to speak with representatives to learn more about enrollment and course requirements.
This is also a good time for our Junior students to learn more about the local workforce and options that are available to them in our community. Many students obtain part-time employment from the connections that they make at this event and start adding experience to their resumes.
For our Senior students, this is a great way to start learning about ways to add to their resumes, gain experience and set themselves apart when entering the workforce or starting their post-secondary educational journey. There are many representatives that can provide volunteer opportunities for our students as well as employment. Typically we have a number of workforce representatives present that are prepared to offer student's employment or apprenticeship positions to begin after graduation.
