TSP is a close-knit community of volunteers that aim to work with the children at Bal Bhavan from FLAME University. While the members share a common vision, our interests and skills differ. At TSP, we strongly believe that each one of us can make a difference. Therefore, there are different roles to suit our members' expertise. What’s best? Our members have the choice. Broadly there are four pillars or teams:
The Content Team designs and curates the lesson plans to be taught.
The Executive Team executes the lesson plans teaching the children on-field.
The Data Team tracks student progress and attendance.
The PR Team is in charge of handling our social media presence.
The Events Team plans and executes meaningful events for the children.
For a more detailed understanding of each role, read on!
The Content team members thoughtfully design lesson plans and activities that engage young children who have never been exposed to a structured curriculum or the discipline of a school. These lesson plans are based on the themes decided by the entire team.
The Executive team members present the lesson plan that the Content members design in the presence of two Data Members. Exec members work with the pre-decided themes and topics to effectively deliver the carefully crafted lesson plans.
The Data team members measure and track the children's progress and their learning outcomes. The insights of the Data team help the Content Team to tailor Lesson Plans to the needs of the children to make them more effective, as well as help the Executive Team understand the different teaching strategies they can use to make learning more effective.
The PR Team works to elevate and create awareness about the The Story Project Initiative. This is achieved not only through impactful events but also by enhancing our social media pages. The task at hand requires the team to use their creativity and innovation while ensuring that the vision and purpose of this initiative is fulfilled in tandem with the student community.
The Events Team curates engaging and educational experiences for children, ranging from nature walks and creative workshops to cultural celebrations such as dance performances and kite flying during Sankranti. Each event is thoughtfully designed to encourage learning, joy, and meaningful participation.
The children at Bal Bhavan range from ages two to fifteen and they all have varied, if not minimum, levels of education. They are mostly from the village of Lavale or have migrated to Lavale. Our class varies in size, each day. Most of the children are not yet comfortable with basic spellings, reading, writing and arithmetic. Thus, our lesson plans and its execution is caters to these challenges.
