YES, definitely

Can seniors attend BOTH ceremonies?

No, you must pick one to attend. The in-person ceremony will be live-streamed.

In-Person Ceremony Attendance

What is the estimated # of Graduates attending the In-Person Ceremony at UCF? About 300-400? Will know more after all homeroom teachers have confirmed choice with seniors.

Q's on Senior Slideshow

• Will a slideshow of seniors name, pictures, & goals be shown in the in-person ce? Yes, there will be a slideshow playing before the ceremony begins with senior slides.  

• When will seniors be able to share their graduation slide for the in-person & virtual ceremonies and where do they send it? Yes, details will be sent to all Seniors in April via Parent Square and on the Senior Website. 

Diplomas

• For those doing a virtual ceremony, will graduates have their diplomas mailed to them before graduation? Diplomas will be mailed out early summer for virtual graduates, but will be on assigned seats at in-person graduation.

Hand-out Graduate Pamphlets in the In-Person Ceremony

• Will pamphlets of the list of 2021 graduates be handled out at the ceremony? 

Yes, each graduate will receive a program with diplomas. In-person will receive on the date of graduation, all others will be mailed out with diplomas after Graduation. 

Q’s on Cap & Gown, Medallion Unit, Stoles, and Attire

• Are cap & gowns ordered from sites different from FLVS accepted at the in-person graduation? Yes, but if ordered from an outside vendor, the colors must match Herff Jones Cap & Gown (Black). NOTE: Tassel and FLVS Medallion are included with the Herff Jones Cap & Gown. 

• Other than the cap and gown, is it also required that we wear formal attire at the in-person graduation? Or, is it just highly recommended? Yes, the dress code will be shared on the senior website and during Info-Sessions (date TBD, but in April).

• What is the Medallion Unit? and does everyone get one? The medallion Unit comes with Herff Jones Cap & Gown orders. Tassel & Medallion.

• Cords & Stoles worn at graduation: Only FLVS provided sloles may be worn at graduation. 

• Can Seniors decorate their caps and/or masks for in-person graduation? 

No, seniors may not decorate caps or masks. Please wear solid black masks as well. We will provide a black mask if they do not have one.

Tickets

• When will we get the in-person graduation tickets? We will mail tickets the week of April 26th, so you will have them well before the in-person graduation, May 27th. Remember to bring the tickets to UCF.

In-Person Ceremony Speakers

• Will there be senior speakers in the in-person graduation to deliver speeches to the 2021 graduates? YES, Senior Class President, NHS President, and top 5 seniors. No more than 5 minutes each speech. 

Flexibility on 2 person limit?

• Is there flexibility on the 2 person limit if there is enough space for more people in the arena? No, we must follow strict CDC guidelines. Only 2 guest tickets per graduate and non-transferrable.
