Quinlan Skinner is in his seventh year of teaching. Previously, he served as Director of Bands for five years at Yvonne Shaw Middle School in Sparks, Nevada, and he is currently in his second year as the Instrumental Music Director at Buena Park High School. Mr. Skinner has worked extensively with bands in the Reno/Sparks area and has provided private lessons to middle and high school students. He has also performed as Principal Cellist with the Reno Pops Orchestra, and as a member of the Reno Wind Symphony in the horn and percussion sections, as well as the Truckee Meadows Community College Concert Winds in the clarinet, trombone, and percussion sections.
Mr. Skinner earned his undergraduate degree in Music Education from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR). He then pursued his Master of Education degree in Instructional Design from Western Governors University.
Mr. Skinner resides in Los Angeles with his fiancé, Dr. Robert del Carlo, a medical student at the University of California, Los Angeles. In addition to his dedication to working with students, Mr. Skinner enjoys spending time taking advantage of Southern California's beautiful weather.
Summer Elliott is a dedicated percussionist with a passion for the marching arts. He began his music career at Buena High School, where he excelled in the Marching Band, Indoor Drumline, and Wind Ensemble, serving as both section leader and principal player. His early leadership and talent set the stage for a successful and diverse musical journey.
Pursuing higher education at CSU Long Beach, Summer continued to develop his musical expertise by performing with the Concert Band while earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics.
Summer's independent marching experience is noteworthy, including performances with Broken City Percussion in 2023, 2024, and 2025, and the prestigious Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps in 2023. These experiences have honed his technical skills and deepened his understanding of high-caliber performance standards.
Currently, Summer is committed to nurturing the next generation of performers. He is the Percussion Director at Buena Park High School and the Front Ensemble Caption Head at Orange County Independent Percussion.

Mia Carrillo is a dedicated front ensemble instructor with a strong enthusiasm for the marching arts. Her musical path commenced at an early age, marked by her completion of the Certificate of Merit program in piano and her involvement in middle and high school band programs. In addition to her pursuits in the marching arts, Mia is advancing her education at CSU Los Angeles, working towards a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
Mia’s independent marching experience includes performances with Broken City Percussion in 2023, 2024, and 2025 and Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps in 2024. These opportunities have refined her technical abilities and enhanced her knowledge of the audio aspect of the marching arts, all of which have influenced her instructional approach. Mia is also a Front Ensemble Instructor at Buena Park High School and Anaheim High School.

Dylan Fisher is a percussionist and educator. With several years of teaching experience under his belt, Dylan has developed a passion for helping students grow as musicians.
His impressive performance background includes Gold Drum and Bugle Corps 2019 and 2020, Meraki Percussion 2020, Élan Percussion 2022, Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps 2022, and Broken City Percussion 2023. Dylan's expertise and enthusiasm inspire his students as he fosters a love for percussion and performance. He also serves as the Battery Caption Head at Buena Park High School, Battery Co-Caption Head at Orange County Independent Percussion, and Battery Instructor at Gold Drum & Bugle Corps.
Richard Alvarenga is a dedicated Memory Care Director with over 13 years of experience in assisted living, specializing in dementia and Alzheimer’s care. Richard’s approach focuses on meaningful connection ensuring that each individual’s story, preferences, and strengths are honored in the care they receive.
Outside of his professional work in senior living, Richard is deeply passionate about the performing arts. As a color guard director, he channels his creativity and mentorship into building teamwork, discipline, and confidence among his students. He inspires them to strive for excellence both on and off the field. Richard’s ability to blend compassion and creativity defines his leadership in every aspect of his life, making a lasting impact on the communities and individuals he serves.
