AVID Tutorial is a structured peer-led academic support session in class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A small group of students, facilitated by a tutor, collaboratively examines challenging academic questions or problems. They engage in a Socratic dialogue, probing deeper into concepts and employing critical thinking skills to arrive at solutions. The tutor facilitates rather than lectures, guiding the group through the problem-solving process. AVID Tutorial fosters collaborative learning, enhances comprehension, and empowers students to take ownership of their education.
Become an AVID Tutor and make a real difference in high school students' lives!
