"Who we are is how we lead" - Brené Brown
A value is a way of being or believing that we hold important. As leaders, we need to be clear about what we believe and hold important, and we need to ensure that our intentions, words, thoughts, and behaviors align with our values. - Colin Breck

Speed Dating
💡Speed Dating (or Speed Chats, if you prefer) is quick, easy, and low-prep way to get students up, moving, and sharing their learning. While a lot of collaboration can happen digitally, don’t forget the importance of face-to-face discussions to practice speaking and listening!
Implications for Leaders:
Craft a Mission Statement
A mission statement is a declaration of your purpose. To practice your purpose and values intentionally, try creating a mission statement using the following prompts
What do you hope to be true as a result of your work?
What impact do you want to have on others or the world?
What values drive you to do what you do?
Make a Values Jar
Go back to your core values and place them into a jar or small container. Each day choose one to be your value of the day. As you go throughout your day, reflect on when you notice yourself demonstrating this value. Then brainstorm opportunities to act on it.
