Every year, countless pets go missing, and it’s our mission to help bring them back to their families. Fishy’s Friends Rescue is proud to support pet recovery efforts by providing the community with resources and tools to reunite lost pets with their owners. One of our key initiatives is the installation of microchip scanning stations across the area, offering an accessible and effective way for good Samaritans to check if a roaming, lost, or stray dog has a microchip. This vital step can quickly connect pets to their owners, sparing them unnecessary stress and ensuring a faster reunion.
Microchipping is one of the safest and most reliable methods of pet identification, and we want every pet in our community to benefit from it. To make this service affordable, we host discounted microchipping events on the first Saturday of each month at Petco Lawton from 10 AM to 2 PM. For just $25, pets receive a microchip, a QR code recovery tag, and lifetime registration.
If you find a lost pet, the first steps are critical: ensure their safety, check for identification, and get them scanned for a microchip. If no microchip is found, our guide will help you navigate the next steps, from making social media posts to contacting local shelters and rescues. Together, we can make Comanche County a place where every lost pet has the best chance of finding their way back home.
Let’s work together to create a community that prioritizes pet recovery, education, and compassion. Fishy’s Friends Rescue is here to support you every step of the way.
