Northwest MN Foundation Scholarships (Opens Feb. 1, 2024, most deadlines are April 15th 2024)

Fisher Scholarship Committee Awards

These are scholarships that have been entrusted to Fisher School District. The Fisher's Scholarship Committee meets prior to graduation, reviews applications, makes determinations and distributes funds at graduation. Mrs. Ring will post applications in the Spring. Available awards:


Bremer Bank Community Service Award

Demonstrates leadership, involvement, and service to their school community

Past award $250


Vineland-Huntsville Mutual Insurance

Based on positive representation of the Fisher Student Body through responsibility and contributions of service to the school

Past award $100


Halstad Telephone Company

For a senior going into fields of study that will have an emphasis on the use of technology. Multiple awards may be given, past total award $2,000


Red River Valley Co-Op

Awarded for academic achievement. Multiple awards may be given, total award amounts around $2,000 and varies year to year.


Leo C. Parent Scholarship Trust

Awarded each year to a male resident of Polk County that has attended Fisher HS for at least two years and will be attending higher learning in the state of MN.

Ivan E. Radi Endowed Scholarship Fund

Awarded to an applicant who plans to attend a two or four year college program and preferences to Agriculture related.

Annual award of $2,500


American Crystal Sugar Company Scholarship

ACS awards a scholarship to a Fisher senior that is pursuing a technical or vocational degree in fields of study of STEM, packaging, Power Generation Technology, Electrical, Mechanical, and Process Technology.

Other Local Awards

These are scholarships have been given in the past by community organizations. They are not decided on by Fisher's Scholarship Committee and are distributed by these organizations, not the school. 


Fisher American Legion & Fisher American Legion Auxiliary Members

Awarded to an outstanding Fisher Graduate, based on involvement in activities, community service, participation in sports, leadership roles, and academic achievement. Available as of 4/09

Due April 18th to Mrs. Ring, interviews taking place April 30th

Fisher Booster Club

Based on character, leadership, school participation, and high academic achievement

Past awards have been to multiple students and totaled $600


Rachelle Larson-Hinkley Memorial Scholarship

Preference given to those pursuing a nursing career, given to a Fisher student who has had a positive impact on the Fisher community. 

Annual scholarship, 2024 scholarship amount of $500
