Performing in Old Time Radio Show 2

Abby O'Farmer - Abby graduated from Centenary University with a BA in Theater Arts with a concentration in Acting. While living on the east coast, Abby continued her training at Actors Connection in NYC and The New York Film Academy. She has appeared as a background actor in numerous films and television series, the most notable of which include the miniseries Mildred Pierce, the Amazing Spider Man 2, The Other Woman, Robot and Frank, and The Knick. She has also acted in many small independent productions. Abby moved to California almost four years ago. During COVID, she performed in virtual plays. She is very happy to be performing live again. She has been a scare actor for the last two Hollow Scream seasons at Sea World and has worked as a model. She was last seen in Circle Players’ production of Artaban.


Charisse Zeff - Charisse is very excited to be in Old Time Radio Show 2. Since starting in theater in Feb. ‘22, she’s appeared as Bridget in Crust, Bertha in Tuna Does Vegas, Queen Elizabeth II in Sorry, Charlie, Alien Agent in Very Tasty, Detective in Witness for the Prosecution, and Hathi/Monkey/Villager in Jungle Book, among others. Charisse also acts in a Children’s Storytime Program. She will be performing with an outreach group at senior homes. She loves improv, aerobics, and dancing. Charisse creates original inspirations for people with developmental disabilities and is writing a children’s book. Thank you for this opportunity!



Janet Taylor - Janet is excited to be back with the Circle Players. She has been in most of their productions, and is looking forward to being in more! She has also been in shows with Lamplighters Theatre, and has been house manager for Talent to aMuse a few times. She enjoys doing what she can, whether on stage, behind the scenes, or as an extra. In October, she will once again scare people at the Haunted Amusement Park, and in December hopes to work again as an elf!



Jason Brown - Jason has always enjoyed the theater and participated in it as opportunity has allowed. He enjoys playing character roles that allow him to alter his voice and physical appearance. In addition to practicing character voice work, he also spends his free time writing and learning about a wide variety of topics, and pondering over them all while driving public transit in East County and San Diego County.”



Kimberly Sellers - Kimberly loves doing theater. She has been in several plays around San Diego such as the Lyceum, Lamplighters, Community Actors Theater, Vaudeville Theater, and Innovative Theater. This is Kimberly's second time doing a show with The Circle Players.  

Lorenzo Rodriguez - Lorenzo Rodriguez has acted his entire life since the 1980’s. He has acted in plays in San Diego and Los Angeles. He is presently the CEO of premier acting and consulting. He teaches at community actors theaters. At times, he coaches actors in perfecting their craft as they enhance their careers in the entertainment industry.  

Lorenzo has studied acting methods from Stanislavski, Meisner, Stella Adler and many more. Training in acting is an on-going commitment. He was the SAG/AFTRA Conservatory chairman, presenter, and responsible for bring in to the conservatory qualified producers, directors, acting agents and casting Directors 2005-2024. His ongoing training is by SAG/AFTRA conservatories in San Diego and Los Angeles. 

His Latest film , “Table for Two”, is now presently getting many awards for a great cast.  Lorenzo Rodriguez is the Vice President of the San Diego local SAG/AFTRA chapter.

Lyle McCartee - In theatrical arts, the participants are dreamers. They become actors who selflessly give flawless performances in acting. Then there are legends born out of obscurity and go on to leave an indelible mark that will forever sear their legacy into stage and screen folklore.

LYLE, IS NEITHER OF THEM! 

Professionally, Lyle has been a photojournalist for nearly 30 years. He has covered local, regional, and national stories that have filled the television airwaves in many of the communities he’s lived in.

Recently, he has entered the world of Voice-Over and Voice-Acting. He is thrilled to be a part of the cast of “The Old Time Radio Show 2.”


Maxine Levaren - Maxine Levaren is thrilled to be back with Circle Players. She has performed spicy monologues in The Reindeer Monologues with Different Stages and The Vagina Monologues with Inner Mission Productions. She has also played a wide variety of characters – Mother Teresa in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot with Trinity Theatre Company, Norleen in Mama Won’t Fly with North Park Vaudeville, and several turns as Emilia the Abbess in Comedy of Errors. Looking forward to more mysteries, radio shows and readings with this amazing group.



Michelle Osorio - Michelle has been acting for 30 years and singing for even longer! She majored in Musical Theater at the Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts. These days, she mostly works as a director and content creator. This is her first stage play in many years! Michelle has a regular gig as a professional singer, both as a session musician in the recording studio, and as a caroler in a Victorian a cappella group called Santa Ana’s Little Helpers! Her weirdest credit is being hired to sing 5 Spanish Electric Dance Music songs last year for a Polish TV network. She likes to imagine her songs will one day play over an emotional breakup scene in the Polish version of The Bachelor. Natalie Van Huezo - Natalie is delighted to be joining The Circle Players for the first time in "Old Time Radio Show 2." She has performed with other theatre groups in the past, in roles such as Bagheera in the MPC Theatre Company's "The Jungle Book," Helen in the Dely Rey Player's "The Lord of the Flies," and Rachel in the short play “Do They Deserve It?” through Point Loma Nazarene University. She has also recently started to perform in films, as Hildegard in David Ruiz’s independent production “Sinderella,” and Jayden in the student film “Speckle.” Natalie is glad for her opportunity to work with The Circle Players, and can’t wait for future productions.





Susan Cody - Susan is a retired Registered Nurse who worked a total of 47 years in the medical field, retiring in 2016. She has sung with the California Girls, Joanie and the Jeanies, and The Malt Shop Girls, at the San Diego County fair, at December Nights, and in karaoke and cabaret. Susan enjoys gardening and working on home projects. She is a member of the Sons of Norway, a fraternal and cultural organization, and enjoys cooking and baking.


AUDIO TECHNICIAN

Danny Aguayo - Danny has worked in the Audio/Visual department in some capacity for theaters over the past two and a half years. Such works include "The Artificial Jungle" and "N" at Point Loma Playhouse as well as "Brighton Beach Memoirs" for Lamplighters. He graduated at San Diego SCPA in 2022 with a major in Cinematic Arts. At SCPA he primarily was an editor working on projects such as "Jeremy Baker Tries to Live", "Fire in The Heart", and "The MCU Effect". He is honored to join The Circle Players.

FOLEY ARTIST

William Rickman - William joined the world of community theater in 2010.  Past credits include: Inspecting Carol (2023), 1940’s Radio Christmas Carol for PowPAC (2022), One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (2023), Silent Sky with Lamplighters Theatre, Spongebob Musical, & William Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors for Coronado Playhouse, Disney’s Freaky Friday-the Musical, A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play, Treasure Island, Disney’s Aladdin Jr., Footloose-the Musical, It’s a Wonderful Life-A Live Radio Drama, & Disney’s Little Mermaid-the Broadway Musical for Pickwick Players, A Christmas Carol-A Classic Radio Play for the La Jolla Theatre Ensemble, & The Complete History of Theater-abridged at Point Loma Playhouse.  William is also an avid hiker and not-for-profit volunteer with interests in multi-media art, cartooning, & amateur photography.


DIRECTOR

Joel Gossett - Joel is the Artistic Director and founder of The Circle Players.  This is the 16th show he has directed since their first show in 2015.  He has directed and performed in many other theatres throughout Southern California.  He has also appeared in motion pictures, short films and TV commercials.  Joel found it extremely interesting researching the evolution of radio plays over the past 100 years and has been excited in guiding this outstanding cast of players through the development of this production.  ENJOY!
