KMS has a longstanding tradition of an excellent marching band program that has lasted many generations!
The marching band has traveled to march in numerous parades around the country in recent years including a 2024 trip to Nashville Tennessee to march in the Gatlinburg Midnight 4th of July Parade. The Marching Saints have traveled to many different locations as well including Washington D.C. to march in the National Fourth of July Parade, and a 2016 trip to Hawaii to play for the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor.
In 2026, the Marching Saints will be representing the state of Minnesota in TWO 4th of July celebrations! They will be marching in Philadelphia on July 3rd and Washington DC on July 4th. We are looking forward to this amazing opportunity coming up for us in the near future!
We are extremely proud of our marching band program and we are looking forward to our 2026 marching season! At the bottom of this page, you will find video showing some historic moments from the KMS Marching Saints.
Students at KMS can be involved in everything! Signing up for marching band is not signing your life away. Students can still be in sports, have a part time job, enjoy some relaxing time on the lake, all while enjoying the summer in marching band. We are willing to work with other KMS activities to make sure EVERYONE has the opportunity to be in marching band!

In July of 2024, the Marching Saints traveled to Tennessee! We participated in the Gatlinburg Midnight 4th of July Parade, spent a day at Dollywood, and got to explore Nashville. Nashville was such a great experience that included things such as the Country Music Hall of Fame, exploring Broadway, visiting the Parthenon, rolling down the hill at the State Capitol Building, exploring the home of former president Andrew Jackson, seeing a show at the Grand Ole Opry, going on a music bus tour around the city, and the Nashville Zoo. It was a great experience and we can't wait to do more marching band travel like this in the future!
The 2022 marching season was very successful for the Marching Saints. They received high praise and top scores in many of their parades. They even earned the high honor of Class Champion in the Alexandria Vikingland Band Festival. The Marching Saints completed their season with a trip to Washington D.C. where they marched down Constitution Ave on the Fourth of July. Check out the video below of their routine entitled "Illusions."
