KMS School Social Worker for grades 7 - 12
I am Jess Anderson, the Social Worker at KMS High School. I am here to assist students with managing their mental health symptoms, questions, and education. I am available for any student to come see, grades 7 through 12. I provide a safe, supportive, and calm environment.
Social Work Services
Focus: Mental health support, family connection, and barriers to learning
Services include:
Individual counseling for mental health, coping, attendance, or behavior concerns
Support groups (stress, anxiety, healthy relationships, grief, etc.)
Crisis response & safety planning
Attendance support and home communication
Connections to community resources:
Mental health providers
Housing & financial support services
Substance-use resources
Medical or basic-needs assistance
Advocacy for students navigating challenges inside or outside of school
How Students Access Support
Students, families, and staff may connect with the counselor or social worker by:
Student self-referral
Teacher or staff referral
Parent/guardian request
Administrative support referral
Support may be short-term or ongoing depending on need.
