Earn an Associate’s Degree-DTA from Pierce College while attending Fife High School. The Associate’s Degree with a Direct Transfer Agreement (AA-DTA) guarantees a student's lower-division general education courses will transfer as a completed package to nearly any four-year public or private university in Washington state.
College classes taken at FHS are free, students stay on the FHS school calendar, and parents can keep in contact with their students’ FHS teachers. This pathway allows students to complete transferable college credits while in high school, helping them save time and money to enter a four-year university prepared to continue their education.
Students combine Fife High School college credits earned through taking and passing eligible courses in CTE Dual Credit, Advanced Placement (AP), and College in the High School program.
Students interested in earning their Associate of Arts with a DTA degree with Pierce College need to stay declare their intention by the end of their sophomore year with their FHS counselor, stay on-track earning their credits, and communicate regularly with both their high school counselor and college academic advisor.
