Focus on discourse in public schools.

How do we as a society determine the proper place of politics in public schools? What is the responsibility of the teacher to correct factual errors within such discussions? To what extent should policy on political discussions mirror religious discussions (keeping in mind that while religious convictions are private, political ideologies have long been the focus of public debate and affect us all)?

Your schooling was disrupted in a big way a few years ago. I imagine you may have opinions about it and would relish the opportunity to join the current discussion on what really is education. I did not provide sources for this, but you are more than welcome to pursue this.
