Forest Hills offers multiple after school Jazz opportunities.
Jazz Band is made up of students in grades 7-12 at invitation only. They will perform at the Christmas concert and the Spring concert.
Jazz Combo is open to students who want to play more jazz and improvise. See Mr. Custer for more information.
JV Jazz band is open to all students.
District Jazz
District Jazz
Students in grades 9-12 that play: Saxophone, Trombone, Trumpet, Drum Set, Guitar, or Bass Guitar are eligible to audition for District Jazz & Modern Band (Rock Band)
All instruments, except Drum Set, are expected to improvise over 2 choruses of Bb Blues (24 measures) for District Jazz. Modern Band Auditions has a different set of criteria.
