High School Band

Information

High School Band is made up of students in grades 9-12. It meets opposite High School Chorus and students are able to do both groups.

We perform a Fall, Christmas, and Spring Concert.

Something fun to watch

Victor Borge was introduced to me by my grandfather. He was an incredible pianist, but also a great comedian. He combined the two into a great show to watch. This video doesn't show his piano skills, but you're all bright enough to use youtube to find his piano performances along with his comedic skits using the piano.

Auditions for Band take place on the 3rd Sunday in November.

Auditions for Jazz will be online.

District Band will be held at Cambria Heights

District Jazz will be held at Greater Johnstown

PMEA & County Band Solos

Each folder is shared with anyone who has a Forest Hills email address

District Solos: You need to know C, F, & G scales on your instrument. No sharps/flats, 1 sharp, 1 flat. This is NOT concert pitch. There are copies of the scales at school.

Currently: only Woodwind instruments have County Band recordings.
