We are thrilled to announce that free school meals (breakfast and lunch) will continue for all FHPS students during the 2025-26 school year, thanks to the newly passed School Aid budget. If your student has money deposited in their meal account, those funds remain available to purchase à la carte items or extra milk, and they will roll over to the next grade level. If you wish to request a refund, please call our food service office at 616-493-8774.
While meals are free for everyone, we strongly encourage all families to complete the Free and Reduced-Price Lunch Application. This quick form takes less than five minutes but is crucial, as the information helps our district secure essential funding for vital programs, including health services, academic resources, counseling, and even reduced fees for college applications and internet costs. For questions, please contact Dawn Mosey at dmosey@fhps.net.
New Students may obtain their ID in the front office. Students are issued picture ID cards that are used to enter the building, check out library materials, charge items to their school lunch account, and attend school events such as games and dances. Students who lose their cards should report to the main office for a replacement. A $5.00 fee will be charged to replace the card. You may also download a digital ID. Instruction can be found HERE. We also highly recommend students take a picture of their ID to keep on their cell phones in case they ever lose or forget it.
Cell Phones/Electronic devices are not permitted during the school day and will be confiscated. ** Refusal to give-up device to staff member may result in more severe consequences. First offense, the student may pick up his/her device from an administrator at the end of the day. Second offense will result in the confiscation of the property until claimed by a parent/guardian.Third offense will result in the confiscation of the property, phone contract (check-in/checkout of device for remainder of semester). Violation of phone contract may result in suspension from school.
