Welcome to Forest Hills Northern High School! Here, students are given the opportunity to grow academically, discover their interests, and form meaningful connections that prepare them for life beyond high school.

Northern offers a strong, comprehensive academic experience for all students. With a wide range of courses across every subject area—including numerous Advanced Placement options—students can pursue their goals, challenge themselves at the right level, and build a solid foundation for future success. Our teachers are committed to providing engaging instruction and personalized support to help each student thrive.

Forest Hills Northern is also home to several unique and innovative programs designed to meet a variety of interests and learning styles:

• Spanish and Chinese Immersion Programs provide students with exceptional opportunities to develop advanced language skills and cultural understanding, preparing them to be global citizens. For students who were previously enrolled in an immersion program.

• AP Capstone Diploma STEM Program offers hands-on, interdisciplinary learning in science, technology, engineering, and math, emphasizing real-world application and problem-solving.

• Project NEXT focuses on project-based learning and builds strong connections between academic content and real-world experiences within a supportive cohort model.

• Gone Boarding Program (12th grade only) combines academics with experiential learning through action sports, business, and product development.
