Completing the orientation tasks listed on this page will give you a thorough overview of the technology information you need to know and the systems you will regularly access as an employee of Ferris ISD. 1. Get to know the Staff Resources on the FISD website.

8. Learn How to Report an Absence and Request a Substitute (Instructional Staff Only)
Record the absence in True Time in the Skyward Employee Access system.
After entering it in True Time, login to ReadySub, the online absence reporting and substitute request system.
Your login information will be provided to you by the Central Administration Office.
Contact Central Administration with any questions about ReadySub or click here to send an email.
9. Learn How to View Your Payroll Information and Leave Balances
Skyward Employee Access is the system used to view payroll information and leave balances.
Contact the Business Office with questions about Skyward.
10. Learn How to Use Your Required Online Gradebook and Access Student Information (Teachers Only)
Skyward Student Access is the district's Student Information System (SIS).
Schedules are not finalized until just before school starts, so you might not be able to log in until some time during Staff Development week or you might not have a Gradebook or be able to see any student data right away even if you are able to log in.
