Dear College Bound Champion:
Did you know that College Bound has a free texting service called “OtterBot” that is available 24/7 to help students with their questions about financial aid and College Bound? When you update your students’ cell phone numbers via the portal, they’re automatically enrolled in OtterBot!
We are currently texting College Bound juniors and seniors. If we have the student’s cell phone number in their College Bound application, then they should already be receiving texts from OtterBot.
In early March 2023, OtterBot for Parents will begin sending texts to the parents and guardians of juniors and seniors to help answer their questions too. If we have the parent’s cellphone number on file, they can expect a message from OtterBot.
They can also text “Hi OtterBot” to 360-634-0354 to get connected.
We hope families take advantage of OtterBot! If they have any trouble connecting with OtterBot, they can contact our office at (888) 535-0747, Option 1 or email us at collegebound@wsac.wa.gov.
