KSS Counseling Department

The mission of the Kennedy Secondary School Counseling Department is to assist all students in reaching their full potential by supporting their personal/social/emotional development, academic success, and college/career aspirations.

High School Counseling

KSS High School Counselors assist students in the following areas:

  • Educational Planning

  • Post Secondary Planning

  • Career Development

  • Personal/social development (support and counseling)

  • Communication with staff and parents per individual student academic needs

  • Referral to in-school and community resources

  • College readiness (PSEO/Concurrent Enrollment opportunities)

  • Academic Assessments

Middle School Counseling

The Fergus Falls Middle School Counseling Department offers a comprehensive counseling and guidance program that includes:

  • Academic Planning

  • Individual and Group counseling

  • Classroom Guidance Lessons

  • Consultation

  • Parent education and support

  • Referrals to outside support services

  • 504 Plan Case Management
