As district and building goals have been developed and revised in the past two years, FAPS acknowledges and understands the importance of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), and that as educators, we play an integral role in helping students develop and strengthen their SEL skillset.

School therapy dogs are steadily growing in popularity as more research emerges on the benefits they have on students and staff in the school setting. Research shows that therapy dogs reduce stress and anxiety in students, and create a calm, loving, and judgment-free environment for students to learn and grow.
