Articulation refers to a child's ability to correctly say developmentally appropriate speech sounds. You may notice that your child has trouble saying a single speech sound (e.g., "wabbit" for "rabbit") or has patterns of speech errors (e.g., always substutiting "t" for "k' like "tat" for "cat"). Your child's speech-language pathologist uses a variety of strategies and techniques to remediate these errors. If you're unsure what sounds your child is working on, feel free to reach out to the speech-language pathologist working with him/her.
