Robotics Clubs at Encino Charter School. Our school's team placed 2nd in the Color Run Challenge and 1st place in Sumo Challenge. Congratulations!!!

Crafting
This club will be focused on crafting with different kinds of thread and yarn to create many different projects. We learn things like crochet, finger knitting, and other kinds of knotting.

Knitting
Join Mrs. Flynn Tuesdays after school from 2:50-3:45 PM. We will learn how to knit and create fun knitting projects that students can keep when finished!

Art
Students will embark on an artistic journey completing different projects and learning about the elements of art. Projects may be student-interest based or instructor-interest based.

Artists Around the World
Students will be learning about a new artist every week. Students will create an art project based on the art form the artist uses.

Foundational Skills
Students will develop phonics and phonemic awareness skills necessary to become a successful reader and writer. Students will create writing pieces that will be compiled into a portfolio.

Dream A World
Dream A World Education provides social-emotional learning and an understanding of cultural diversity through an early childhood, arts-based education.The program "uses the universal languages of visual arts, music, dance, theater, language arts, American Sign Language and multi-sensory learning aids to engage all learners in understanding the core values of being human and developing positive social and emotional skills."

Robotics Team
Students will learn to code EV3. Girls and boys in Grade 3-5 compete in LEGO Mindstorm Robotics designed, built and programmed by students who engage in friendly cooperations that showcase how robots enhance their STEM achievement.

Indi the Robot
The indi learning robot is designed to introduce early learners to the fundamentals of computational thinking, STEAM, and computer science principles while encouraging open-ended, imaginative play-based learning with real-life scenarios.

Students will develop strategic thinking as they play games of strategy.

Cursive for Beginners
Students will easily transition from printing to cursive. Students will learn how to properly write in cursive.

Muscles and Exercise
Students will learn about muscles. This involves how their names, what body parts they move, how to exercise them safely, and what to do if something goes wrong.

Drill Team
Drill/Dance/Team s a group of motivated and spirited students of different grade levels who will perform during school functions by creating routines based on precision dance movements. Drill Team helps the team members to develop self-discipline, teamwork, respect for ourselves, for all the members of the team and create peace through dancing in our environment. Our goal is to participate in Drill / Dance Team competitions.

Crazy 8s is a recreational after-school math club that helps students appreciate the math that’s all around them. The program is dedicated to helping kids love numbers so they can handle the math in everyday life. Crazy 8s is students to socially and collaboratively focus on creative, hands-on math activities.
