Welcome to Felsted School, we are so excited to invite you here to our MUN conference and we hope you have a great experience. You will be situated in an institution packed with culture, history and devastation. Felsted School was origionally founded in 1564 by Richard Lorde Riche. Originally, the school was an all-boys grammar school housed in the centre of the village and was later converted into the Guild Hall above the popular village shop (Lindsell's of Felsted) and is now used as the Prep School Music Department. If you didn’t know already, the Grignon Hall, which is where the MUN opening ceremony and the human rights committee meeting is taking place, sadly burnt down in 1930. Fortunately, the hall was quickly rebuilt in 1931 and you will find yourself in it at some point at your visit at Felsted. So, when you do find yourself GH, take a moment to take in and appreciate the hard work of so many people to create this fascinating piece of architecture.
