STEP ONE: COURSE SELECTION Start by looking over the course selection information provided at this website linked HERE. We have prepared an instructional video as well as course descriptions and videos to help you with course choices. Counselors are unable to schedule individual meetings at this time. Be sure to look at the resources page as well as the FAQs to answer questions about course prerequisites and challenging a course.

STEP TWO: GOOGLE FORM Once you know what courses you would like to request, please complete the grade level Google form linked below You will answer a handful of questions as well as enter your course requests and alternatives.

NOTE: This is the same form used for students already enrolled at FCUSD and it asks if classes have been entered into PowerSchool. Please agree to that statement in order to submit the form but counselors will do that part for you as you do not have access to PowerSchool yet. The form will ask you to upload 3 proofs of residency in order to submit so please have uploaded copies prepared.

When it asks “who is your advisory teacher” please answer “not a current student”

When it asks “are you returning to Vista” please answer “yes”

When it asks “have you moved in the last year” please answer “Yes” and upload your three proofs of residency

When it says “Yes, my parents/guardians have updated my information in PowerSchool through the parent portal” Please agree to that statement in order to submit the form but counselors will do that part for you as you do not have access to PowerSchool yet.

Update as of 5/26/21: If you are enrolling after May 26th, please be aware that some electives courses are FULL. Although all classes at Vista are listed on the required form linked below, we are unable to place you in the following electives:

STEP THREE: EMAIL DOCUMENTS Email the following to Jbsmith@fcusd.org in ONE email. Do not send email unless ALL are attached. If you prefer to submit hard copies, please include ALL in one packet to the Vista del Lago drop box outside the administration office.

  1. Copy of unofficial transcript including most recent grades (do not ask the school to send to us) Incoming 9th should use most recent 8th grade report card

  2. Up-to-Date Immunization Records including dates administered

  3. Copy of Original Birth Certificate or Passport

If applicable: Copy of most recent IEP or 504 Plan

Custody Paperwork or Notarized Power of Attorney
