Current FMS, SMS and FCUSD Charter Students: Follow the steps below to complete student enrollment and secure a spot at Vista del Lago for the 2021-2022 school year.

STEP ONE: PowerSchool Online Registration DUE: Deadline extended to Feb. 26th

Directions for completing this step:

  • Log into PowerSchool. You will need to be logged onto your PowerSchool Parent account.

  • Select “Registration 2021-2022” on left side of screen.

  • Current student information will be displayed. Make changes/additions if applicable and submit.

  • Once submitted, you will no longer be able to edit your student’s information.

Students will be admitted in order based upon the PowerSchool Online Registration date/time stamp. Computers and internet access is available on the VDLHS campus if needed or use your student's Chromebook. Continuing FCUSD students who do not complete PowerSchool registration by the deadline will lose priority registration status.

Staff at Vista del Lago cannot help with PowerSchool log in problems if you currently attend another school such as FMS or SMS. Please contact your school office for assistance if you are having trouble logging into PowerSchool.

STEP TWO: PowerSchool Course Selection DUE: CLOSED

Directions for completing this step:

  • You will need to be logged into your PowerSchool student account

  • Enter your course selections by following steps below:

  • Click on the pencil icon to reveal the course selection list under each subject area. Unfortunately the list will sometimes be in an unexpected order. Be sure you are selecting a matching pair of semester “A” and semester “B” courses.

  • In some cases courses have been preselected for you.

  • In selecting elective choices or additional courses you should scroll through the pages to view all of the choices. Note: there are several pages of courses to choose from. Be sure to click the number tab at the bottom to move through the pages.

  • Click on the box in front of both courses to select them. Click on “Okay”. Follow the same procedure for other courses. Be sure to click “Okay”.

  • Repeat until you have selected courses for eight classes, 16 semesters. The courses you have selected will each be displayed in boxes.

  • Double check your selections and click “submit”.

If you forget this step, you will not have classes in the system.

STEP THREE: Complete the grade level Google form Deadline extended to Feb. 26th

Directions for completing this step:

  • You will need to be logged into your student's district Google account to submit this form

  • You will need to have three proofs of residency ready to upload to the Google form

  • You will need to know what courses you selected for the 21-22 school year to complete the form



In order to enroll at Vista del Lago, you must prove that you live in the Vista del Lago boundaries. Those who have not completed step one by February 19 will be placed on a waitlist and be eligible for enrollment as space permits.

Per Education Code 48204.1, residency documentation includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Property tax payment receipts

  • Rental property contract, lease or payment receipts. Verification of rental contract or lease will be performed with the owner/lessee.

  • Utility service contract: SMUD, PG&E or City/County

  • Pay stub

  • Voter registration

  • Government issue document such as California Identification Card or California Drivers License

A link to this live Zoom will be emailed as well as posted on Feb. 1st. This night is dedicated to parent and student questions that may have come up after watching the presentation. Recording of event will be posted after Feb. 10. Submit any questions beforehand to this link.

A link to this live Zoom will be emailed as well as posted on Feb. 1st. Counselors will be available to answer questions on a drop in basis that students have after watching the presentation and working on their course selections. This session is designed for students only.
