B-roll:
Video clips illustrating the story, edited in sequences to give the viewer an accurate picture of what’s happening.
Reporter Track | Voice Over:
Your voice as the reporter, narrating the b-roll and providing the audience with important story information that isn’t included in the soundbites.
Soundbites:
Small pieces of filmed interviews that provide short, meaningful additions to your story.
Graphics:
Text, usually in the lower third of the frame, that introduces the name and title of speakers.
Natural Sound & Nat Pops:
The ambient noise in an area associated with the story. Nat pops are short bursts of natural sound that help to grab the viewer’s attention.
Stand Up:
The reporter on camera, demonstrating or showing something. Stand ups should only be used if the reporter can illustrate something important or use props to emphasize something in the story.
