About Me

Please let me introduce myself — I am Mr. Peter Lane and this is my 22nd year at Mitchell Middle School.  I thoroughly enjoy teaching students at the middle school level.  Students in this age range bring a sense of curiosity and ability to question ideas with them every day.  It definitely keeps me on my toes!

I have had an online presence since I started at Mitchell - way back in the Spring of 2003.  I have always tried to use websites, blogs and/or wikis as a way to connect with students, parents, and colleagues from around the world.  I also use it as a way to engage myself in exploring new gadgets that may enhance the learning experience.  Some of the things I have tried using no longer exist. :)

Outside of school I thoroughly enjoy spending time with my family.  I like to garden, cook, hike, and watch sports (lots of it).  I have also recently taken up playing with toy trains - learning the in and outs of electricity has been a blast!  Below you will find a button (link) to the portfolio of my trains - feel free to check it out!
